Meandering Manhattan

I visited New York for the first time ever! It was pretty surreal since all of my previous exposure to the city is from all of the movies I've watched. It was also surprisingly familiar to me, being a San Francisco native. Jumping on the metro and navigating the city on foot was totally in my wheelhouse.

My brother was my guide, and we hit a bunch of his favorite spots in Manhattan. I got the local perspective, since he lives there. From greasy late night pizza to sake and standing room only bars, coffee nooks and rooftop clubs, I got a short but very dense taste of Manhattan for a weekend.

We also went to a show in Brooklyn and saw Acceptance do a 20th anniversary tribute to their Phantoms album. Very rare to see them live!

So, let's call it an appetizer, I'm sure I'll be back again for a bit longer next time!
