Family Legacy Delivery

As heir to the family Oldfield estate, I've recently become a lot more involved in preserving said estate. My mother who has inherited it from my grandmother, asked me to help curate and secure it, and that involves getting the paintings into museums and places where it can be seen.

My brother helped load the largest piece "Man with Dog" into a U-haul van and we hand delivered it to the Crocker Art Museum. It was a trip, to say the least. I got to see for the first time the wall that's dedicated to my great grandfather's works, and also deliver a small statue that's featured in one of his masterpieces. It will be restored and displayed in the museum.

It was hot. 110 degrees or something. A few cargo van mishaps along the way, and some car troubles, we ate a late lunch in the comfort of a Joe's Crab Shack of all places, and celebrated a new chapter.
