Our New Old Home
Holy crap. We did it. In this insane market, right in the epicenter of it... We managed to land a piece of property right back in the city we sold our last one almost a year ago. I did not think it would have taken this long, but hey we arrived.
Although I initially thought I'd be settling in a new city, we certainly did not settle, we checked all the boxes. It's a well structured mid-century ranch, with a big backyard and no HOA. I detest HOAs, and have spent the last two houses wondering where the dues are wasted. I can finally paint my house whatever color I want (And I will be doing just that).
The cherry on top is we got it at a price that baffled the appraiser, that means we scored big time. Nothing feels better than hearing "How did you get this house for this price in this market?". High fives all around.
So, bye to the two bedroom apartment! This family of four will be living long term in this cozy little 1955 bungalow. Just as soon as we restore it to it's modernist roots, of course. Yup, plenty of work to do on it thanks to the gift and curse of being a designer haha.
