Rising 2025

The big yearly conference came and went already, and I got to contribute some big things this go-round. I also got into the customer after party and had a great time! Duran Duran played which was pretty funny. They kept saying "Birthday lights" so I assumed it was all for mine. Good times with the crew!

Summer Adventures

I've been on a lot of trips this time around, so here are some snaps from all the adventure. From local spots to taking the train to LA for Universal Studios, and kayaking rivers and mountain lakes... It's been a summer to remember!

Hello Austin Texas

Image
My good friend Phil moved to Texas about 4 months ago, so I went to visit him and the family to catch up. He surprised me with a live acoustic studio session at How Much?! Studios. We hadn't played music in a long time, so it was fun to revisit the old songs. We also checked out a bit of the city of Austin. It was a really short trip, but condensed, good times!

Birthday Celebration

Went all out for this go round, partied on a yacht and then went up to my spot in the Sierras for the weekend. I don't usually go all birthday crazy, but I felt like marking the occasion in a big way this time. Definitely one to remember! Next year... I guess a bigger boat?

One Last Rodeo

My good buddy Phil wanted to go big for his 40th. He lined up his favorite venue, Bottom of the Hill on a Saturday night and asked us to reunite after a 12 year retirement for one last show. We all were a pretty skeptical we could pull it off, but we committed to it and rehearsed our asses off. What a night to remember! So many reunions, from our band buddies back in the day American Avenue, to our original members returning to the bay area to join us. It was a complete blast, and just like we never left. It's not often you say goodbye to such a big chapter in your life, and get one more go to make a life memory. Happy 40th Phil, you're the glue that's kept us together all this time!

Cruisin' Baja

My dad's side of the family fulfilled a last wish of my late aunt by embarking on a Disney cruise. It was an experience, and you know what, it was all about the kids. My son loved it, and I got to play nurse for my seemingly perpetually sick daughter. We stopped at Catalina Island (I'll be back solo) and Ensenada (Nope, won't ever be back). The food was thoroughly mid, cringey disney adults everywhere, and way too many lines for the confines of a ship. Late stage capitalism, woo! I even saw some amazing entitlement behavior on the ship. Anyways, we rolled deep and it was great to hang out with the whole family and soak up a ton of sun.
